Our History
Monument Lake Resort has a rich history dating back to 1937 during The Great Depression, when the land was cleared by Mountain Men and Timbermen and the dam constructed with hand laid stone, this magical wonder was created. In a time of great hardships and even greater pressure, this Gem was erected from Gods beautiful surroundings. The resort is situated on 368 acres of stunning land in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range of Southern Colorado, offering a glimpse into the past with its all adobe architecture, hand-chiseled timber interiors and the most breathtaking surroundings in Colorado.

Historic Single Queen Lodge Rooms are nestled in an all Adobe structure with 20 inch thick walls and hand chiseled exposed wood throughout. Overlooking the breathtaking Monument Lake this will be a stay of a lifetime. All rooms are newly renovated with beautiful tile floors, hand laid stone fireplace, and beautiful marble, finished bathrooms.

Historic Double Queen Lodge Rooms are nestled in an Adobe structure with 20 inch thick walls and hand chiseled exposed wood throughout. Overlooking the breathtaking Monument Lake this will be a stay of a lifetime. All rooms are newly renovated with beautiful tile floors, hand laid stone fireplace, and beautiful marble, finished bathrooms.

Our Historic circa 1937 cabins in the woods are absolutely delightful. These single queen bed Adobe cabins truly tell the story of the Timbermen who built them by hand back in 37’… With newly remodeled interiors, ceramic wood plank floors and marble showers, these cabins are lavish in comfort.
In addition, each cabin comes with its own private sitting area and firebox for grilling over the fire or simply relaxing under our star lit skies.

Our Historic circa 1937 Deluxe cabins in the woods are absolutely delightful. Each cabin boasts a single queen bed, 1 set of log bunk beds and a full kitchen. These Adobe cabins truly tell the story of the Timbermen who built them by hand back in 37’… With newly remodeled interiors, ceramic wood plank floors and marble showers, these cabins are lavish in comfort.
In addition, each cabin comes with its own private sitting area and firebox for grilling over the fire or simply relaxing under our star lit skies.
RV FULL HOOK-UPS
Our Full Hookup RV area is nestled back in the trees for the perfect mountain setting and relaxation. Each hook up has full water electric and sewer. 30 and 50 amp power is available depending on the site. We have a few sites that can handle up to a 50 foot RV about half the sites can handle up to a 30 foot RV and the other half and handle up to a 25 foot RV.
RV PARTIAL HOOK-UPS
Our Partial Hookup RV Sites are perfectly situated on the mountain side just above Cherry Creek. The partial RV campground is newly renovated with all new electric pedestals providing 20, 30 and 50 amp service throughout. Partial hook ups also include water. Monument Lake Resort has a Convenient fill/ dump station on site.
PRIMITIVE RV & TENT SITES
Our Primitive RV and tent sites are hands-down some of the most unique you’ll find in the state of Colorado. Newly renovated primitive campgrounds boast both Lakeside and Creekside camping. Whether you’re camped out along the lake or up in the trees a bit, our primitive sites are absolute game changers when it comes to you’re camping experience. All primitive sites are fitted with a fire box.

Monument Lake Resort has everything you need when it comes to enjoying your time on our beautiful mile long mountain Spring fed lake. From large party double deck pontoons, to six man fishing pontoons, to two man fishing pontoons, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and tubes, we have covered all the basis. Visit our awesome little Marina store and Fly shop and let the lake life begin!

As a child, before she knew how to put words on paper, she was singing and writing music. Born and raised in west Texas, her upbringing pours through her songwriting in tales of desert highways and the hustle and bustle of oil towns. Laced with heartache, joy, loss and female angst, her songs are ingenious and uniquely her own. The songwriter released her first EP, "Drowning in Dreams" in 2020. Her single,
"Pretty Things" quickly rose in popularity and has taken her and her band all over the country. In her own words, "the show is a little more rock and roll than the stripped down acoustic stuff. We like to have fun." With a new album set to release in May, this up and comer is sure to take wind this year.
