Monument Lake is teeming with catchable rainbows, brown trout, and kokanee salmon for a mellow afternoon of catching fish, telling stories, and sharing snacks with your friends out on the lake. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the campground has wildlife abounding in the sky and over the land. Though pets are allowed on the premises, owners are expected to clean up after them so that the park remains lovely for all its guests.

Monument Lake fishing regulations require each person to be 16 years or older with a valid Colorado fishing license. Resort guests must agree to follow all Colorado’s fishing regulations while on the lake. There is a convenient fish cleaning station adjacent to the store and boat rental for cleaning and preparing your catch after the day’s events. Swimming on the lake is not permissible at any time.

Fishing boats can be rented in person anytime at the lake convenience store. Try a kayak or paddle boat as well, so you can explore the lake with a friend or group. Rent our luxury pontoon boat with a sweet bar and grill, bathing suit changing room, a water slide, mood lighting, 6 hi-fi speakers & subwoofers, a towbar for tubes, and more. Boat rental rates are quite reasonable and our inventory is plentiful to allow everyone to get time with one during even the busy weekends.

Liability waivers must be signed by all persons intending to be on the water at any time. All boaters must wear a life jacket while on the boats for their safety.
